Our Family Legacy: From Cristy’s Speed Wash to mClean Laundry

Our journey began in 2005 when Bud founded Cristy’s Speed Wash in Rockwood, a small, mom-and-pop coin laundromat that quickly became a staple in the community. Bud’s dedication to quality and his hands-on approach—personally fixing machines and ensuring the laundromat was always clean—set the foundation for what mClean Laundry is today.

In 2017, Bud’s son, Aaron, took the reins of the family business. Having grown up in the laundromat, helping his father with repairs and maintenance, Aaron inherited not just the business, but also Bud’s passion for “doing things the right way.” With a vision to modernize and expand, Aaron rebranded the business to mClean Laundry in 2022, carrying forward the values his father instilled in him.

Expanding Our Reach: The Flat Rock Location

As part of Aaron’s vision for growth, mClean Laundry expanded to a second location in Flat Rock, opening in May 2023. This wasn’t just any expansion—Aaron completely rebuilt the Flat Rock location from the ground up. The site, which was once LeBlanc’s Mower Repair Shop and a Western Auto location before that, holds a special place in the community’s history. For decades, it was a go-to spot for local residents, including Aaron himself, who remembers taking his lawnmower blades there to be sharpened as a child.

Today, the Flat Rock location stands as our premier laundromat, equipped with the latest technology, including Speed Queen machines and cutting-edge ozone systems. This location is a testament to our commitment to providing the highest quality laundry services while honoring the community’s rich history.
